As we try to attract more people to come to Olney and make it their home, as we try to attract more businesses to move to Olney and start a business; they’re going to be looking at the infrastructure: they’ll be looking at the schools, the library, the junior college and they are certainly going to be looking for modern health services. And the delivery of those services is what is the most important; and to have proper delivery, I think you have to have to have modern facilities.”

You can be a part of this Exciting Project

This truly is an exciting time of renewal for Richland Memorial Hospital and the future of healthcare in our community, and we want you to be part of it. The expected total cost of the project is $5.8 million, and we need your help. Absolutely no tax dollars will be used to fund this expansion. Funding for the project will come from existing gifts, Hospital reserves, interim loan funding, and a wide reaching fund drive by the RMH Foundation. The base goal for the Renewing For Health Campaign has been set at $3.5 million with a challenge goal of $4 million. Significant gifts received by the Hospital and the RMH Foundation from Arthur and Maxine Helmen (totaling $1.5 million) have already been pledged, which means our campaign has already kicked off at 40 percent of our goal.
