Women's Health Center & Front Entrance Project ……
The Board of Directors at Richland Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce the final design for the new Women’s Health Center and Front Entrance Building project! The design is the result of nearly a year’s worth of meetings with involved Medical Staff members and Hospital staff to be certain the needs of our patients are met in a safe and efficient manner.
At this time, our project has 16,400 square feet of new construction and 5,410 square feet of remodeled existing space and includes in part:
-
New Family Maternity Services unit featuring
- 6 Labor-Delivery-Recovery-PostPartum
Rooms (obstetrical patients).
- 4 private patient rooms
(obstetrical or gynecological patients).
- All patient rooms have
private bathrooms.
- Direct access to the
Operating Suites without traveling public
halls.
- Remodeling of the present surgical
waiting room and GI Lab areas.
- Remodeling of present Family
Maternity Services unit for same day surgery
patients to provide direct access to the
Operating Suites.
- A new covered main entry from
East Street.
- Direct access to women’s imaging
services (mammography, ultrasound, etc.)
from the new entrance.
- Gift Shop (operated by the RMH Auxiliary).
- Reception desk to be staffed
by a Hospital employee immediately adjacent
to the new Admitting/Outpatient Registration
area (which provides opportunity to sit down
and allows for more privacy for patients/family);
the Switchboard will be relocated to this area as well.
- New Ambulance facility, with 4,950 sq.ft.,
has been constructed on the south west corner
of the RMH campus.
